PelagianLuxury Indonesia Liveabaords
The Pelagian was built at the Batservice Verft A/S Shipyard in Mandal, Norway, as a elegant world-ranging motor yacht. Over the years she has been rebuilt, upgraded and improved many times, most recently at the start of 2009 when she received hundreds of thousands of dollars in improvements. Her construction was to Lloyd's +100A1 yacht and +LMC classification, and she was stoutly built to travel the world's oceans in comfort and safety. Pelagian cruises at 9 knots and she has a range of over 8,-0 nautical miles! Onboard water-makers and over 20 tons of fresh water in the tanks mean that we don't need to worry about having an extra shower or rinsing our cameras one more time! Measuring 35 meters (115 feet) overall in length, her beam is 7.5 meters (24 feet) and her draft is 3.4 meters (11 feet). At 245 metric tons, she has the size and heft to provide us with a secure base for our exploration of the aquatic world. Pelagian is air-conditioned throughout and offers en-suite accommodation (private bathrooms) in five cabins, ranging from the Standard Cabins up to the Master Suite. Comfort In and Out of the Water The Pelagian's two custom-made 18ft rigid hull inflatable (RIB) dive tenders are equipped with double 60HP outboard engines, tank racks and secure stainless steel ladders (no need to enter the boat like a stranded seal:). These tenders are comfortable and very easy to enter and exit. Diving is mainly done off the tenders as they allow divers to go directly to the dive sites more accurately than the main ship. Tanks are quickly filled using whips from the Pelagian so there's no need to take the gear off the tenders until the end of the cruise. Our friendly, camera-aware crew is always ready to lend a hand. About the accommodations: The newly remodeled Wakatobi dive yacht, Pelagian, is like a floating tropical boutique hotel with ever-changing topside and UW vistas. With a maximum of ten guests, Pelagian offers more space per guest than any dive yacht of its kind. All interior spaces are air conditioned and each cabin has its own temperature control. A spacious lounge with a love seat provide the perfect place to watch videos on the HD flatpanel TV with Blueray DVD player, listen to music, read, or work on your laptop -- in total privacy. The bathroom is contemporary and features top of the line rainforest shower and vanity fittings. This cabin, like all others, is air conditioned with private control. Location: Conveniently situated at the center of the boat on the main deck level. That means quick access from any place on the yacht with no access staircase to ascend/descend. Superlux Cabins #3 and #5 The Superlux cabins offer fresh, bright spa-like environments for guests. From the spacious floor plan, to the wall art and the smallest decor details, these cabins evoke a feeling of tranquility and restfulness. Both of these cabins feature a walk-around, queen-size bed and separate daybed. No need to climb over your partner in the middle of the night to reach the bathroom or in search for a drink! Hanging bedside tables and large drawers under the beds offer guests ample space to store personal items. Adjustable, high-intensity reading lights hang from the headboards for convenient night-time reading. Spaciousness extends into the beautiful bathrooms featuring a glass shower area, a big vanity with spa-like fixtures and great lighting. These cabins are, of course, air conditioned with private controls. Location: Both of these cabins are located forward of the main salon and down a flight of stairs. They both have several portholes (closed on the pictures) that let in ample daylight. Deluxe Cabin #2 The efficient layout of the deluxe cabin creates the perfect accommodations for dive buddies looking for their own space. This cabin features two beds; one wide enough for two people, the other accommodates one person. Built-in drawers and a small loveseat provide a place to sit, read, and maintain your dive log or work on your laptop. This cabin also has a newly-remodeled bathroom with shower and toilet. Air conditioned with private control. Location: Located at the stern of the yacht, this popular cabin has its own staircase accessed directly from the main salon. Standard Cabin #6 This is another efficient cabin choice for divers needing less spacious accommodations. The standard cabin features two single beds arranged opposite each other. One bed is elevated with port holes by the waterline for stunning views along the surface of the ocean. The other is standard bed height. Built-in storage below the elevated bed provides place for stowing personal items. This cabin also has a newly-remodeled bathroom with shower and toilet and is air-conditioned with private control. Location: This cabin is located on the starboard side of the ship from a separate staircase by the camera room. Perfect locale for the camera equipment tinkerer!|
